Faccia Luna - State College

Faccia Luna was voted the best pizza in State College, and we must agree. Pizza isn't the only item on the menu, though. They have a multitude of great Italian dishes, as well as your normal items, like cheesesteaks and burgers. But, back to the pizza... So many choices of toppings and styles. They make larger pies in a gas oven, but if you can make due with a 10-14 incher, you've gotta get it made in the wood-fired oven. It's the only way to go. We had portabellas, sliced roma tomatoes, sausage, riccotta, et cetera, et cetera on our pizzas, and everything was fantastic.

Ok, on to the beer! Quite a good selection - anyone could find a beer in the style they prefer. That said, there was nothing phenomenal about the selection, it was pretty much what one comes to expect from a decent restaurant these days. A couple of lagers, a couple IPAs, etc... One big plus, they had Ruthless Rye on draft. Kudos.

All in all, it was a good night out, although if you go there, make sure you have plenty of time. We spent quite a while at the bar waiting for our table. Regardless, we shall return...
